Allspeeds invests in new CNC Horizontal Turning Centre

Leading hydraulic and cutting tools manufacturer, Allspeeds Limited, has invested in a new Hwacheon horizontal turning centre at its Accrington manufacturing facility. The latest element in the company’s CAD / CAM integrated manufacturing process, the state-of-the-art machining centre will reduce production times and increase the scope for new product and custom project developments.

Manufacturing efficiency 

Hwacheon 230 BL YMC CNC horizontal turning centres are compact, high speed machining systems, able to provide precision machining of small and medium sized parts for Allspeeds’ range of products, including Webtool hydraulic cutters and Tangye hydraulic jacks. Utilising the machining centres’ stable bed structure, high-speed spindle performance, 80mm bar feed and Y-axis capability, allows parts production in a fraction of the time of the company’s previous methods.

“The addition of Y axis milling capability enables more components to come off complete without the need for secondary milling operations, reducing cost and lead times” says Keith Elliot, managing director, Allspeeds.
